Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta

Our first entry is the Chairman of our APBA V&H Division - Tom Bertolini  Photo by Wally Hinman

Yes it is official, we are a definite go for Labor Day weekend, September 2-3 on the Ohio River in downtown Wheeling WV. Our event will officially be called the "Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta". We will hold safety inspections and registration from 8:00 AM till 1:00 PM on Saturday Sept. 2, with a meet-and-greet for the public scheduled in the pits from 3:00 to 5:00. We would like all drivers to be with their boats at this time. Dinner will be held in the pits for vintage people and invited guests at 6:30, to be followed by a outdoor public showing (big-screens!) at the pit area of "Madison." Vintage events will be held on Sunday Sept. 3, with a mandatory drivers meeting at 8:30 AM. We will have the river all day long, and will be running vintage exhibitions heats until 6:00, so bring plenty of fuel !!!

Our Website is up with pictures of the Heritage Port where we will run, and also has links to hotels in the Wheeling area. The link to the "official" page is: www.WheelingVintageRegatta.com

We intend to keep this event as open to everyone as possible, but will have to officially call it an "invitational" since we will be a little limited by space at the riverfront.
