We maintain vintage wooden boats. Wolfeboro Fall Foliage Cruise !!!October 6, 2007
George Johnson started this tradition years ago, and now Charlie Train has stepped up to revive our annual trek. This is a Fall gathering of our local ACBS membership, and a celebration of our beautiful wooden boats. We departed from the Wolfeboro public docks at 9 AM and went for a leisurely cruise to Meredith for brunch. Several vintage boats also joined our entourage along the way. After tying up at the Meredith public docks, we walked up to George's Diner for a hearty breakfast and lots of good vintage banter. After breakfast, Rick Kourian led our entourage on a slow scenic cruise up to Greens Basin at the northern tip of the lake, and then we returned home to Wolfeboro.
Under sunny skies, warm temps and flat water, we gathered at the Wolfeboro public docks at 9AM.
Then we loaded up and Charlie Train lead the way to Meredith.
Passing through the Governor's Island Bridge.
We landed safe and sound at the Meredith public docks, for breakfast at George's Diner.
After a quick review of the lake chart, Rick Kourian lead the way to Lees Mills.
Passing through Salley's Gut.
Many thanks to Rick Kourian for leading us safely on the beautiful/scary route to Lees Mills !!!
Passing under the Long Island Bridge.
Then we continued to Lees Mills.
Many thanks to Charlie & Ilona Train - for a magnificent Fall Foliage Cruise ???!!!
