Niagara Frontier Antique & Classic Boats
To all Antique and Classic Boat Owners,
You are cordially invited to once again “Shuffle Off To Buffalo” and participate in the Niagara Frontier Antique & Classic Boats 27th Annual Boat Show on Saturday, September 11, 2004. As in the past, our event is being held on the mighty Niagara River at the Buffalo Launch Club, the oldest motor boat club in the United States.
Last year we had over 160 boats from 3 countries and 15 states, which included wood, fiberglass, cruisers, runabouts, race boats, sailboats, canoes, skiffs and outboards which were displayed on both land and sea. This year we hope to top 200 boats. To add to the nostalgia of yesteryear, we also have a wonderful exhibit of antique and classic cars.
We have arranged a weekend full of activity and we have on tap a special offer to visit the Seneca Niagara Casino in nearby Niagara Falls, New York. (Except for the Friday night Pit Party, all of these events require pre registration.)
Thursday evening we will cruise around Grand Island on the Grand Lady Yacht.
Friday evening the Niagara Frontier Chapter’s complimentary Welcome to Buffalo Pit Party & Race Boat Reunion that is open to all boat show participants and race boat owners/drivers.
Saturday after the show there is a cocktail party followed by a Steak and Corn Roast at the Buffalo Launch Club.
Sunday morning is our fun run around Grand Island followed by the Awards Luncheon.
Should you decide to plan a vacation around our event, there are many activities in our area for the whole family. The City of Buffalo has the Buffalo Zoo, Historical Museum, Albright Knox Art Gallery, the Darwin Martin House and the nearby Graycliff Manor, which were both designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Pierce Arrow Automobile Museum, antique shops and great architecture. Niagara Falls offers an up-close view of the Falls on the Maid of the Mist boat ride and the Cave of Winds walk, the Prime Outlet Mall and the Seneca/Niagara Casino. In nearby Lewiston, you can get the thrill of your life on a jet boat ride through the rapids in the lower Niagara River. And, for you history buffs, there is Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown. Just over the border in Canada are the Butterfly Conservatory, Niagara-On-The-Lake, the Welland Canal and the breathtaking Canadian view of Niagara Falls.
So, please join us for a weekend full of activity and surprises at what is now the second largest classic boat show in the nation!

Niagara Frontier Chapter
