This will be our sixth annual APBA Vintage Winter Gathering, held again at the home of Tom & Jacq Bertolini. Last year's Winter Gathering attracted over 90 hard-core, vintage race boat addicts. We all had a great time, the vintage banter and videos continued well into the wee hours, and everyone behaved - even Dave Johnson.
APBA Annual Meeting and Hall of Champions - January 30 - February 2, 2008
Our annual meeting this year is also being held in Detroit, and it is important to have a large vintage turnout. First of all, it's gonna be a fun event at a great location, but more importantly to gather and discuss our many issues of growth - cause our Vintage & Historic Division is the fastest growing group at APBA !!!
Please plan on attending the APBA Annual Meeting first, especially our Vintage meeting on Saturday morning. Then head over to Bertolini's for our Vintage Winter Gathering. The dress code of course will be casual, jeans are just fine. There is no cost, but a donation jar will be placed at the door, and all food donations will be greatly appreciated. Please join us on Saturday afternoon and evening February 2nd for lots of vintage banter, videos, food and drink, our APBA Vintage Winter Gathering!!!
Directions to Tom & Jacq Bertolini's - Detroit Vintage Central:
Coming up from the South: Take I-75 North to I-94 East, to exit 243. It is the New Baltimore/Algonac exit. Turn right, which is 23 Mile Road. About 3.5 miles later, turn right onto Main Street, there is a light there and a funeral home on the corner. If you pass the Dairy Queen you have gone to far. Go over the bridge and turn right onto Schmid Drive - you will see a street sign with 4 names on it. Follow Schmid around to Viola and turn right on Viola. The next street is Bal Clair. Turn left on Bal Clair, Vintage Central is the third house - gray, cedar, cape cod house.
